The Montreal Gazette tells us that Lapin Fran?ais, er sorry, French Rabbit is about to appear on the SAQ shelves. This is wine sold in Tetra Paks, which is said to be more environmentally friendly although apparently 75% of the empties end up in solid waste disposal sites. It’s hardly news since Mathieu Turbide announced at the end of August that Le lapin fran?ais s’en vient au Qu?bec. Some of his commenters said that apparently it was already on some Quebec shelves at that time.
It will of course be sold here as in Europe under the French Rabbit trademark. That’s perfectly legal just as you can drink your coffee in a Second Cup.
