Proudly Canadian

For a nation that is sometimes reticent about blowing its trumpet, Proudly Canadian is a call to action. It’s also a trademark of the Proudly Canadian Clothing company, which is now rolling out its products across Canada. To an extent they’re already there and around the world, since they’ve done the right things to be visible on the Internet, which has no national boundaries. Like most companies they have a website, but more importantly and much more effectively, they also have a Proudly Canadian Blog. Blogs feed that Word Of Mouth marketing process much better than websites can and the combination of a blog and a website is the ideal. Their success would seem to be assured.

A Montreal Gazette article this morning about Proudly Canadian Clothing mentions that they’ll also be launching a “Fi?rement Qu?b?cois” trademark if this is approved. They may have a little catching up to do there, since Google’s #1 for that is a Le Devoir news item (subscription only) giving a “Portrait – Blank, des v?tements fi?rement qu?b?cois“. With the energy they’ve shown to-date, it should be an interesting struggle.
