The sun is shining, the birds are singing and there are other signs that spring is here. The Montreal Gazette displays two of them. In a cartoon yesterday, Aislin notes as a sign of spring that there is now P-mail, but apparently only available to dogs. More importantly, the St. Lawrence Seaway opens tomorrow for its 176th year. Business has been booming lately with a 6.5% increase seen last year. It was also the longest navigation season ever – 281 days. Perhaps global warming has some upsides too. However much you like snow, this has got to be better.
